Wednesday Sunrise Flow Yoga

This flowing Hatha style yoga class will be just what you need to start your day off right. The class will join breath with movement and allow us to learn, love, and connect more with ourselves. Variations will be given to make this class suitable for all experience levels. We will begin and end our class with relaxation, and it will set a lovely tone for the day ahead!

Thursday Vinyasa/Yin Yoga

Vinyasa/Yin features the perfect combination of two styles of yoga in one beautifully balanced class. The first half being Vinyasa will have more active movement and flowing through postures. The second half with Yin is mostly done seated or reclined, with poses often held for many breaths or a few minutes in each pose to let the magic unfold organically without force, inviting in more ease and acceptance.

INSTRUCTORS

Laurie, yoga instructor at Gathered Hearth, Classes and Studio in Prince Albert

Laurie

Laurie is an ERYT-1000 certified instructor with almost 20 years of teaching experience. She did her first 200 hr certification back in 2006 in Penticton BC. She then completed a 300 hr upgrade through SOYA with Mugs McConnell and Carla Wainwright in Melaque, Mexico and Water Valley, AB. She additionally has 85 hr Prenatal and Postnatal certifications (with Lalita Scott and Ray Kroschinsky), and 100 hr Astanga Yoga (with Rockne White) certifications, and has enjoyed many workshops with well known yogis such as Ganga White, Tracey Rich, Mark Stephens, Wade Morissette, and Sarah and Ty Powers through SOYA in beautiful Naramata, BC, Kelowna, BC and Sorrento, BC. Laurie also works as an Educational Assistant, and has four wonderful little kiddos. When she’s not sharing her love of yoga, you’re likely to find her at the dance studio, soccer centre, or busy advocating for autism awareness and acceptance. She’s a very busy lady, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
